Welcome to my quirky world!
Join me in a place where creativity knows no bounds and stories come alive. My students often liken my teaching style to Robin Williams – dynamic, spontaneous, and brimming with unexpected connections. It's the gift of an ADHD mind, weaving tapestries of ideas that others might miss. And yes, I consider that the highest compliment!
With roots in the heart of Texas and a career cultivated in the writers' rooms of Los Angeles, I've navigated the realms of TV writing, production, and education. Now, I call Brooklyn home, where I balance my passion for storytelling with inspiring the next generation of writers. When not at the keyboard, I'm exploring the borough with my canine companion Ruby, a spirited LabRottie, and Otto, my clever half-Bengal kitten (who is not a fan of summer!).
Current Projects:
1. A cozy mystery series set in a charming Brooklyn bookstore, featuring an ADHD amateur sleuth and her feline partners in crime-solving, Peabody and Emerson. (A nod to Elizabeth Peters aficionados!)
2. A historical whodunit that whisks you back to 1913 Hollywood, where a gutsy female writer teams up with a rugged ex-cowboy director.
3. A contemporary mystery following a GenX lawyer who has escaped from NYC and landed in the same college town as her very annoyed daughter.
I invite you to explore these narratives where humor meets mystery, history intertwines with modernity, and characters leap off the page. Join me in this literary adventure!
